Encountering God in Worship

Thursdays at 7pm in the Chapel
Encountering God in Worship is the title of the study led by Christian Mateos. This group meets at 7pm in the Chapel on Thursday Evenings. For more information on this study, reach out to Christian. mateoschurch1@gmail.com

Game Night

AKA: WWS
This group of individuals who gather around their commonalities meet for dinner once per month. The groups plans are determined by the group. Joan Lasson can answer any questions you have and will keep you posted if you are interested.
2nd Saturday of each month at 7 pm
Join us in the New Life Center at 7pm on the 2nd Saturday of each month. Bring your favorite games, a snack, and a drink or just come and participate in the fun. 

friendly Fare

This small group meets on Sundays after worship in the chapel. They make peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and 200 sack lunches for Jordan’s Crossing.

Creation Care Team

This team is dedicated to caring for God's creation and the land we have been given to care for at Amlin. This team takes care of filling the landscape with native plants. They are also working to prepare a community garden space for this coming year.

Amlin Prayer Whisperers

This is a group that communicates via text messages to pray for the people of Amlin UMC, the church, and our community.

Amlin's Worship Team

This is a group that leads worship in the New Life Center (NLC) and meets monthly via zoom to discuss worship and chose songs.

Nurture Team (Ami)

This team is in need of members but the goal of this group is to connect with the community. They work to reach those who do not have a faith community to connect with. They also aim to support the missions we are already participating in as a church and continue to grow in ways to serve through the church.

Martha's Helpers

These are a group of women in the church who work to keep our buildings clean and organized.

Mission and Outreach

The Nurture team has selected people from our congregation to connect with each month. This team aims to provide each person at Amlin with an Ami (French for Friend). And don't we all simply need a friend? They also organize events that bring together the people of Amlin for Christian Fellowship.

Work Team

This team used to be our Trustees. Their role is to complete the tasks that need to be done around the church with the physical buildings and grounds.
